HOW MUCH DOT TAPE SHOULD YOU HAVE INSTALLED ON YOUR TRAILERS?
Conformity to the law requiring a minimum of 50% lateral coverage of conspicuity tape on each side and 2x 8'' onthe back. Some manufacturers installing "logo" tape do a 100% lateral coverage.
For a 53 ft. trailer : The MINIMUM of 50% coverage requires a total of 70 linear ft.(27 linear ft on each lateral side and 16 linear ft at the back.) .Whereas 100% coverage requires 122 linear ft. total .
